At Message Charitable Trust, Vellayil, Kozhikode, we believe in empowering women by providing them with the skills and opportunities to become financially independent. One of our most inspiring success stories is the journey of BOBBINO Stitching Crafts, a stitching unit that was born out of our training program.

Eight of our trainees under the program LEDP Fashion Designing & Garment Manufacturing with Support of NABARD —Amina, Saleena, Sareena, Afsath, Rashida, Vanitha, Seenath, and Jameela—once unemployed and unskilled, joined our tailoring training program with a strong determination to transform their lives. With dedication and hard work, they mastered the art of stitching and garment making.

After successfully completing the training, these women took a bold step forward by starting BOBBINO Stitching Crafts, a small but ambitious stitching unit. Today, they work efficiently and effectively, specializing in producing high-quality kids wear for the renowned brand Chick Bella.

Their journey from uncertainty to self-reliance is a true testament to the power of skill development and collective effort. BOBBINO is not just a stitching unit—it is a symbol of hope, resilience, and empowerment. Through their craft, these women have not only secured a sustainable livelihood but also inspired many others in their community to dream big and work towards financial independence.

We are proud to have been a part of their journey and continue to support many more women in building a brighter future. The success of our training program doesn’t end with the eight women of BOBBINO. An additional 22 women, who were part of the same training batch, have also found a sustainable source of income. While they may not be part of a centralized unit, these talented women have started stitching from their homes, taking up independent orders and contributing to their households financially.

By applying the skills, they gained, these women now cater to local demands, stitching clothes for their communities and even receiving bulk orders from small businesses. Some have even started their own mini-enterprises, stitching uniforms, traditional wear, and custom garments.
