Business Development Program: Training program organized for food processing units and FPOs

People’s Foundation in collaboration with NABARD organized a one-day training program for food processing units and FPOs on how small food enterprises and FPOs can improve their business by improving the quality of existing products in the market and developing new products.

Expert microbiologist Dhanya Vijayan conducted a class on the topic of importance of microbiology in food production and preservation. This was followed by lead ISO Chief Auditor C.J. Joffe conducted a class on the importance of quality assurance and adherence to health and hygiene practices in small food production. Expert SOP Specialist Bibin K and People Foundation Project Director Dr. Nishad V. M spoke on the inspection procedures to be followed for water and food security and on the topic of product market fit. More than 35 people participated in the training program held at the People’s Training Center in Irumbuzhi, Malappuram.
