Our Community Development Programme is a systematic effort to improve the social, economic, and environmental well-being of marginalized communities by empowering individuals to take collective action towards their own progress.
Every community is unique — and so, each development journey must be unique too.
Our programme is carefully designed to respect local strengths, needs, and aspirations.
Launch of the Programme
We are excited to announce that in the first phase, we have selected 11 communities (areas) from various districts for the implementation of this programme.
The official launch of the Community Development Programme was held on 10th April 2025, inaugurated by M.K. Mohammedali, Founder President of People’s Foundation, in the esteemed presence of Ms. Vijayanand, former Chief Secretary of the Government of Kerala and Chairman of Pradan, one of India’s leading NGOs dedicated to empowering poor communities.
The event was well-attended by an array of dignitaries including people’s representatives, political leaders, cultural leaders, and other distinguished guests. Their presence and support marked a strong beginning for this ambitious initiative.
The Community Development Programme is structured as a three-year mission, covering the period 2025–26 to 2027–28.
