Anto Antony MP said that People’s Foundation, which understands the difficulties and joins hands with the country, is a source of pride for Malayalis. The MP was speaking after inaugurating the People’s Foundation Community Empowerment Project dedication and project announcement at Mundakkayam Puthen Chantha. The People’s Foundation is taking over economically and socially backward villages and bringing them to self-sufficiency. They are active across the country and have rendered many services to many villages in all districts of Kerala. This time, the choice of Puthen Chantha in Mundakkayam Panchayat will be very beneficial, the MP added.

Several measures, including drinking water and housing, will be implemented in the new market in Mundakkayam Panchayat selected for the project. 11 houses will be repaired and two houses will be reconstructed. Drinking water measures will be implemented for community members. Entrepreneurship awareness programs will be prepared, assistance will be provided to set up 20 micro-enterprises, in addition to continuing education programs, scholarships will be provided to bright students for higher education, tuition centers will be established, training will be provided to youth for competitive exams, school study kits will be provided to poor students, capacity building training and skill development training will be provided, and health screening camps will be organized. The projects will be completed in three years.
