In this era when the educational expenses of students are increasing significantly, there should be more scholarship schemes and the general public should support them, said Baithuzzakath Kerala Chairman Sheikh Muhammed Karakunnu. He was speaking while inaugurating the second phase of the scholarship scheme implemented by the People’s Foundation in collaboration with Baithuzzakath Kerala. He said that students who study on scholarships should carry out activities for social progress and take on the responsibility of taking on the new generation after their studies.
The function held at the Kozhikode Sports Council Hall was presided over by People’s Foundation Chairman P.I. Nowshad. IECI Director Dr. Badeeuzman delivered the keynote address. Scholarships worth Rs. 35 lakh were distributed to 93 students. GIO State Committee Member Lulu Abdul Majeed and IECI Higher Education Assistant Director Advocate Murshid spoke. People’s Foundation Project Director Rameem P.A welcomed the event, which was attended by more than 130 students and parents, and Baithuzzakath Project Coordinator Rashid K. expressed his gratitude.
