The foundation stone of the Arise Meppadi rehabilitation project project complex, launched by the People’s Foundation for the survivors of the Chooralmala – Mundakai landslide disaster, was laid by Jamaat-e-Islami Kerala Ameer P. Mujeeb Rahman. The ceremony was inaugurated by T. Siddique MLA. People’s Foundation Chairman P.I. Nowshad presided over the function. Vice Chairman M. Abdul Majeed explained the project. Meppadi Grama Panchayat President, K. Babu, District Congress Committee Vice President O.V. Appachan, Muslim League District Vice President N.K. Abdul Rasheed, District Panchayat Standing Committee Chairman Junaid Kaipani, CPI Area Secretary V. Yusuf, Welfare Party District President Faisal P.H., Meppadi Grama Panchayat Standing Committee Chairman Raju Hejamadi, Grama Panchayat Member Harris, Chennai Oruma Baithussakath Convener K. Shajeer spoke. Jamaat-e-Islami Wayanad District President T.P. Yunus welcomed and People’s Foundation District Coordinator C.K. Sameer proposed the vote of thanks.

The Arise Meppadi Project Complex, which includes 30 houses, a social empowerment center, and a standard design factory, is being constructed in Mukkamkunni, Thrikkaipatta, Meppadi. ​​In the first phase, ten houses will be constructed in collaboration with Kothamangalam Peace Valley.
