Covid-19:People’s Foundation provided job training and financial assistance to street vendors

Kozhikode: The People’s Foundation, as part of its program entitled “Let’s provide solace and shelter” to bring relief to those affected by Covid 19, has provided job training and financial assistance to the street vendors.  Under this scheme job training and financial assistance were given to the street vendors of Kozhikode Beach, Beypore and Feroke areas. Sheikh Mohammed Karakunnu, Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami inaugurated the event that was held at the auditorium of Kozhikode Vidyarthi Bhavan. During his inaugural speech Shaikh Muhammed reiterated that working to earn  or to do business are great things in our life, and it become a great thing only when you are faithful and honest in your work. “With determination, willpower and hard work, we can achieve success in life,” he said. He added that the People’s Foundation is committed to inspire and encourage people to be self sufficient and support them for the uplift of the entire society. Jamaat-e-Islami Kozhikode City President Faisal Paingottai presided over the function. People’s Foundation Secretary M. Abdul Majeed led the training class. People’s Foundation Kozhikode City Coordinator Razak Mathottam, Roadside Trade Welfare Committee FITU District President MA Khayyum also addressed the gathering. People’s Foundation Executive Director Hamid Salim welcomed the audience and Project Coordinator Suhair proposed the vote of thanks.
