Adv. K. Francis George MP said that houses with basic facilities are essential for the common people. The MP said that along with the ongoing efforts of the government institutions in this regard, the support provided by voluntary organizations in this regard is great. The MP was inaugurating a conference held to handoverded the People’s Village, consisting of five houses built in Ettumanoor for the poor jointly by the People’s Foundation and Baithuzakath Kerala. People’s Foundation Vice Chairman M. Abdul Majeed presided over the function. Jamaat-e-Islami Kerala Ameer P. Mujeeb Rahman handoverded the keys of the houses. Baithuzakath Kerala Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Karakunnu delivered the keynote address. Jamaat-e-Islami District President P.A. Muhammad Ibrahim, South Kerala Jamiatul Ulama District President Abdul Nasser Moulavi, Ettumanoor CSI Church Vicar Fr. Jacob Johnson, Thankachan Konikkal, Sumina Mol and others spoke.
