Rishiraj Singh IPS opined that parents' negligence is the reason why most children become addicted to drugs. He was speaking after inaugurating the completion ceremony of the second batch of anti-drug awareness trainers led by the People's Foundation. He said that cases related to drugs are increasing day by day in Kerala compared to other states and in this situation, the services of such trained trainers will be very beneficial for the country.
The second batch of the Substance Abuse Preventive Education and Awareness course conducted by the People's Foundation has been released as part of training trainers to conduct anti-drug awareness.
The course was conducted by Consultant Psychiatrist Dr. Sanam Yaseen, Manjeri Medical College Psychiatrist Dr. Prashanth Sasivarnan, Impex Vice President and Director Nasiruddin Alungal, Corporate Trainer C.S. Jabir Panoli, Psychologist Dr. N.K. Rajith, Psychologist and Hypnotic Therapist Shahid Payyannur, Clinical Psychologist Muhammed Sabih, Alcoholics Anonymous Ashraf Manjeri, Subaida Ashraf Manjeri, Sub Inspector Narcotics Cell Ernakulam Rural Sub Inspector P.S.M. Ashraf, etc. led various sessions. 48 trainers with expertise in various fields completed the course through scientific training. Certificates were distributed to those who completed the course at the function. The People's Foundation has released such trainers to conduct anti-drug awareness campaigns in all districts of Kerala. The event held at the Irumpuzhy People's Training Center was presided over by People's Foundation Chairman P.I. Nowshad. Vice Chairman Abdul Majeed, Secretary Ayyub Tirur, Project Coordinator Shabeeb Mambad and others were present.
