As part of the celebration of International Women’s Day, People’s Foundation and NABARD jointly provided training to women entrepreneurs in the field of digital marketing. Malappuram District Panchayat President M.K. Rafeekha, who inaugurated the program, said that women entrepreneurs should make full use of the changes in the field of technology.
She added that in today’s digital era, digital marketing is essential for the growth of enterprises. The training was organized in collaboration with Kudumbashree and Infac. People’s Foundation Vice Chairman M. Abdul Majeed, who presided over the function, said that the relatively low participation of women in the labor force in the district is slowing down the pace of Malappuram’s economic growth.
District Industrial Center General Manager R Dinesh delivered the keynote address. Growth Marketing Consultant Abdul Latheef gave a class on various aspects of digital marketing. Former District Panchayat Vice President Sakina Pulpadan, Kudumbashree Asst. Mission Coordinator Muhammed Aslam, Malappuram Chamber of Commerce Vice Chairman Salim Karat, and INFAQ Coordinator Zakir Hussain spoke. Kudumbashree District Mission Coordinator Suresh Kumar, Kerala Grameen Bank Manager Swapna and others spoke. NABARD District Manager Muhammed Riyas concluded the program. People’s Foundation Project Director Dr. Nishad V.M welcomed the participants and Coordinator Shehin Basmala gave the vote of thanks. 76 women entrepreneurs participated in the training held at the Irumpuzhy People’s Training Center in Malappuram.
