Panamaram: Harbour-Museum minister Kadannapally Ramachandran laid foundation stone for Peoples Township, a project initiated by Peoples Foundation- the service of Jamaate Islami Kerala, at Karimbumal. The minister observed that building shelter for the flood affected is an act which shows the virtue and unity of Kerala.
No one can turn down Keralites who submitted their soul and strength to rebuild the state. A home is a dream. A mind to build that dream is unique, the minister said.
Peoples Foundation chairman P. Mujeeb Rahman presided over the function. He emphasised that the contribution of Rs. 20 crore received from the good hearted people of Kerala will be infused with labour of many crores.
IC Balakrishnan MLA inaugurated the conference. He said that the developing Kerala is facing many issues and those can be solved if the state stands together.
Taking lessons from the deluge, the government should be ready to correct their view on development, said Welfare Party state president Hameed Vaniyambalam.
