‘Uyare..’ Scholarship Scheme Launched: Higher Education Assistance for Children of Spinal Cord Injury

The ‘Uyare’ Scholarship Scheme launched by the People’s Foundation for the higher education of children of individuals with spinal cord injury (Paraplegia) has been launched. The announcement of the scheme was made by Kalliyat Group Managing Director Pehli Shah Kalliyat. Pehli Shah Kalliyat said that the ‘Uyare..’ scheme implemented by the People’s Foundation in the paraplegia sector is exemplary and that such schemes should be taken up by the society.

Baithuzzakath Kerala Chairman Sheikh Muhammed Karakunnu inaugurated the function. The scholarship distribution was inaugurated by prominent industrialist Sulaiman Karadan. He said that Baithussakath’s activities of identifying Zakat donors and providing various assistance to the deserving are great. The function was presided over by People’s Foundation Chairman Pi Nowshad . Vice Chairman M. Abdul Majeed explained the scheme. All Kerala Wheelchair Rights Federation (AKWRF) State President Nasser CCO, Jamaat-e-Islami Kozhikode City President Shihabuddin Ibnu Hamza, and SIO State Committee Member Shafaq Kakkodi spoke.

The People’s Foundation Scholarship Scheme is being implemented in collaboration with Baithus Zakat.
